Insertion: Entire length of the ulnar border of 5th metacarpal.

Isolated function: Assists in concentric acceleration of flexion and slight rotation of the 5th metacarpal.  Helps to cup the hand.

Integrated function: Assists in eccentric deceleration of extension and slight rotation of the 5th metacarpal.

Nerve Supply: Deep branch of ulnar nerve, C8, T1.
